St. John the Theologian Orthodox Church claims to be part of the true, historically traceable, visible Church of the New Testament! We are Orthodox, but we aren’t Jewish. We are a Catholic1 Church, but not Roman (Latin) Catholic! We aren’t a Denomination! Actually, we are pre-denominational!

Some have called the Orthodox Church “the best kept secret in North America!” Many (if not most) Americans don’t even know there is an Orthodox Church--all the more amazing when one learns that the Holy Orthodox Church (often called “the Eastern Orthodox Church”) is the second largest Christian Church in the world.
In the early second century A.D. the disciples and successors of the Apostles continued the struggle against the “false teachers,” “false Christs,” and “false prophets” Jesus had foretold. To set themselves apart from these heretical and schismatic groups, they adopted the name “Orthodox,” meaning both “right worship” and “right teaching.” That One, True, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ in 33 A.D. and built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets has persisted for two millennia as the Holy Orthodox Church up to the present day!

Saint John the Theologian is an Orthodox Church of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese. The Antiochian Archdiocese is a "daughter" of the Patriarchate (Church) of Antioch3 where "the disciples were first called Christians" (Acts 11:26). Saint John the Theologian is multi-ethnic and multi-cultural with parishioners from Middle Eastern (Egyptian, Jordanian, Lebanese, Palestinian, and Syrian backgrounds), Romanian, and Russian backgrounds, and many converts from Protestant and Roman Catholic backgrounds. All our services are conducted in English. We welcome any and all who are interested in discovering the true faith and true worship of the Ancient Church and encourage their questions during the Coffee-Hour that regularly follows our Sunday morning liturgies.
